The Smart Mouse Deer and The Annoying Elephant

 

Ezo was an annoying elephant calf. He always annoyed his friends. His bad habit made his friends uncomfortable. They didn’t want to play with Ezo.

One day, Ezo had an idea to trap animals that passed a narrow path. He digged the soil and made a sizable hole, then he covered it with leaves. Ezo hid behind a big tree and kept an eye on who would fall into the trap.

Elsewhere, Shika, the deer, was running fast to avoid the pursuit of Jojo, the tiger. She was running while occasionally looking back. She wanted to make sure Jojo had stopped chasing her. Unfortunately, she passed the narrow path and fell into the trap.

Shika was shocked to realize that she fell into a big hole. She didn’t know what to do at first, until she saw Ezo, the elephant, showed up from above and looked at Shika. He laughed and mocked Shika, “Ha…ha…ha…What are you doing there? Are you looking for some food? There is nothing to eat there”.

Shika didn’t feel angry or panic because she already had a tricky idea in her mind. “You know, I’m taking refuge from a great disaster. Do you see that sky? It will fall soon”. Ezo looked at the very dark cloud, “Really?” Feeling anxious, Ezo jumped into the hole with Shika.

After awhile, Shika said, “Wait for me here. I’ll make sure we’re safe”. Shika jumped onto Ezo’s back, then jumped outside the hole. Some moments later, Shika said, “I think it’s save now. You can get out of there. I have to go now, bye”. She left Ezo that was struggling to release from his own trap.

 

Moral of the story: Don’t prank others. One day you’ll be repaid.
