Mala is the second daughter in her family. Her older sister is Felly. Felly is prettier and smarter than Mala. It makes their mother love Felly more than Mala. Mala always felt sad whenever their mother praised Felly’s intelligence or chose nice things for Felly. On the other hand, their mother often looked down on Mala and gave her Felly’s used belongings. Mala could only cry in her small room. One night, a fairy came into Mala’s dream. The fairy said that good things would soon come to her. “Be happy,” said the fairy. The next day, at school, Mala was told by her teacher that she had won first place in a drawing competition and received a prize of five hundred thousand rupiah. Mala was very happy.
