A Cat and A Little Rabbit

 



  

        Meishi was a little rabbit that lived in a small house. In the house, there was a grey cat, named Gary. The cat was so nice to Meishi and it made Meishi comfortable.

Gary liked to play with Meishi because she was adorable. Gary asked her to play in the yard and also inside the house. Miranda, the little girl who bought them, made a playland for them.

But one day something happened. When Meishi was sleepy, Gary came closer. The cat licked the rabbit and it made Meishi slept right away. In a quick move, Gary bit Meishi’s neck. The rabbit was shocked, but it couldn’t move. She felt pain on her neck. Gary attacked her many times. No one saved the poor rabbit. In a short time, the poor little rabbit died with blood on her body.

Gary carried her body to the yard. At that time, Miranda saw the two animals. She screamed and ran to them, but Gary ran away by carrying the died little rabbit. Finally, Miranda found the rabbit’s body in blood. Miranda cried so hard. She was very sad. Then, she buried the poor little rabbit in her garden. She was very angry to Gary but nothing to do with the cat.

With a deep sadness, Miranda gave the naughty cat to her friend, far away from her house. She couldn’t understand why Gary bit his best friend. Since then, Miranda never had cats anymore.


The moral value is: don't easily trust someone only by his/her cover.

A Quiet Girl

  Melissa was a quiet girl. She lived in a small family with her mother. Her father passed away a year before. Her mother worked at a clinic. She always went to work in the morning and returned home in the afternoon. Melissa didn’t have any friend to talk to. She spent her time in the garden and played with butterflies or cats. She sometimes read books or novels after school. Melissa usually sat under a mango tree which grew in the garden. An orange cat always slept near her to accompany her reading. Although Melissa was a quiet girl, she was a smart student in the class. She understood all materials given by the teachers. She could compete with other smart students. Surprisingly, she didn’t have any close friend. She preferred to spend her lunch time for reading books in the class.   That was Melissa with her odd behavior.

Fireflies

  When I was a kid, I stayed in a village with my grandparents for two weeks. It was my school holiday. The house was surrounded with rice fields. Every morning, I woke up and felt the fresh air. It was absolutely delighted. In the evening, lots of fireflies flew in those rice fields. They were so beautiful as like small lamps that moved here and there. I enjoyed the moment. My grandfather catched some of them for me and showed me their shape. They are small with ‘the lantern’ on their abdomens. For me, they are unique. They don’t exist in the day time, they only show up in the evening. My grandmother told me that fireflies appear in the evening to attract mates. They also warn predators that they are poisonous. Wow … they are genius. When I returned to town, I didn’t find fireflies anymore. I’ve missed them until today. Their beautiful lanterns made me calm.  I don’t know when I will find fireflies again when many rice fields have been turned into houses.
