Hebi was the name of a female snake. She lived in a nest among the bushes. She would come out of her nest when she was hungry and go home after being full. She would sleep with a full stomach.
Totty was a naughty mouse. He liked to bother Hebi. He sometimes played around Hebi while she was sleeping. Totty was sure that Hebi would not get angry at him because she was full and sleepy.
Although Hebi was sleeping, she remained alert. She always kept an eye on Totty, but she kept silent while Totty was walking around or climbing on her body. One day, something happened. Totty bit Hebi and it made her hurt. Hebi was upset. She catched his tail and threw him away from her. Totty was very sorry and apologized to Hebi, but she didn’t want Totty to come near her again.
