Clean Air, Healthy Friends!

In the green forest, a kind little bird named Chibi the Sparrow lived happily with her friends, Ruru the Rabbit and Dodo the Tortoise. Every morning they played near the clear river and breathed fresh air. But one day, dark smoke came from the town near the forest. The air turned gray and smelled bad. The animals coughed when they talked. Chibi flapped her wings fast and said, “This air is dirty. It can make us sick!”

The next day, the friends tried to play, but Ruru felt dizzy. Her head felt heavy, and she sneezed many times. Dodo walked slowly because his chest hurt. Chibi felt tired even after sleeping. They went to see the wise old owl, Mira the Owl. Mira said, “Dirty air is called air pollution. It comes from smoke and dust. It can hurt your lungs, make you cough, and can make your heart weak. You must stay away from dirty smoke and keep the air clean.”

The friends decided to help the forest. They planted new trees to make the air fresh again. They told the town animals to wear leaf masks when the smoke came and to drink more water. Slowly, the air near the river became better. Ruru could jump again. Dodo felt strong and smiled. Chibi sang a new song: “Clean air, healthy friends!” The forest learned that clean air means healthy bodies and happy hearts, and that even small animals can make a big change.
