Tom was a little boy who lived with his parents near a small park. Every morning, he walked to school and met many people on the way. When he saw old people, he always smiled and said, “Good morning.” They felt happy when Tom greeted them kindly.
One day, Tom saw an old man carrying a heavy bag. The old man looked tired and walked very slowly. Tom ran to him and said, “Sir, may I help you?” The old man smiled and gave Tom the bag. Together, they walked to the old man’s house.
The old man said, “Thank you, Tom. You are a good boy.” Tom felt proud and happy. He learned that being polite and helping older people is a good thing to do. From that day on, Tom always tried to be kind and respectful to everyone.
